it was difficult for me to finish this proyect. It is about two years that I bought the fabric and the book to sew this raincoat but I have not dared to make it until now. The book is “La couture nature” from Kyoko Sakauchi and it is in french, for this reason ( as I only understand a few words in french ) it was difficult to understand the instructions althought there are some drawings for some of the steps.
The coat is not really a raincoat as the fabric is a heavy cotton as it is stated in the book, which for me here in nord Germany is very useful in spring and summer, as in the evenings can be chill.
This time I tried to finish neatly and more professional for this reason I sewed with french seams and added bias to the edges. It is the first time that I sewed side seam pockets. I used a light cotton with small flowers for them. I am really happy with the reasult.
from Oliver + S for her and for him. I saw at Naii the sew along for this sun hut and I feel like I must make one for my niece and one for my nephew.
I made them with linen outside and soft cotton inside.
I finished them just this morning! Here some pictures of them:
If you want to sew them as well, you can download the pattern here.
I hope you like the hats I sewed.
Have a nice Sunday
two days ago I made a quick proyect. This key rings are very easy to make, you only need a bit of felt and nice ribbons :o)
I used ribbons from Hamburger Liebe, I like very much this yellow black combination with the grey felt. I like this key ribbons because they a big enought, so that you find it easily in your bag and because you can hang it in your wrist if your hands are occupied ;o)
since I saw the open wide zippered pouch at Noodle-head I wanted to sew one. Today I had the time to make two, the small and the middle ones. The tutorial is very well written and easy to follow. Here some pictures of my pouches:
The small one is 12 cm tall and the medium one 18 cm tall and both with a pocket inside. I always need lots of pockets in my bags ans pouches. The small appliqué girl and boy were sewn with free machine embroidery. It is the fist time that I create something with this technique.
Have a nice day
from the Burda from May, 5/2013 model 117A. They are very easy and quick to sew. I made some minor changes, as you see I lined the pockets with a floral fabric and put a elastic instead of a band in the waist. I think this fits better. Now a have some new trousers for the spring.
I started a knit proyect. I am knitting the citron shawl. It commes together very quickly. I started for two days and I have just knitted the half of it!!
that is what I made the last days. Well a little bit of crocheting too !
As I told you I made some more felt food. Here the pictures of the ravioli and other pasta varieties. I made it colourful, as I added pasta with “tomato” and “vegetables”. I made a pouch for everyone, so that my niece can take it out and play with it. The idea is from the Raumdinge blog. Stay tuned because this is not the last crafting with felt! I got my neck warmer finished ( the cosy neck warmer from Attic24 ) and I have already used it, because here is windy the last days.
The last thing that I want to show you is nothing spectacular, but I just needed some leggings after I sewed my last tops. So I sewed ones for me. Here they are:
I found at CUT Magazine a tutorial with a free pattern. That was just what I needed.
Have a nice day!
